Remember, pinch the soft part of the nose and get the casualty to lean forward.

Hopefully they will work it out for themselves but the casualty must breath through their mouth whilst pressure is applied.

Avoid the tempation to keep checking and hold the pressure on for a few minutes, if the nose keeps bleeding after 10 minutes seek medical advice.
